Last Voyage Of The Redlegs is a rock 'n roll pirate history of the anarchistic houseboat community of Sausalito, CA in the 60s and 70s.

Based on historical events, the story follows The Redlegs (a waterfront Rock 'n roll band) as they build their dream ship from salvaged junk to sail away. Meanwhile, developers conspire with police and county officials to evict the funky houseboats. It Developes into a class war between poor houseboaters and rich developers.

All the While, The Redlegs keep playing their original music and lead the Houseboaters to a stalemate with the devlopers. It is a colorful and dramatic portrait of the counter culture in the 60s and 70s.

There is even a song written about these events. Titled "Ballad Of The Richmond," it recounts the struggle to build her and sail the Richmond.
